Welcome to the wicked world of Ravenloft...

If you want to contact me, you can either leave a missive in my Guestbook or you can e-mail me at countstrahdvonzarovich at hotmail dot com.

I welcome sensible suggestions, comments, requests and questions of all kinds. I'm also looking for other Strahd fans. If you are one such person, please let me know you exist!

Here are a list of websites I recommend:

BUY RAVENLOFT PRODUCTS:

Since TSR has decided to drop Ravenloft from production, some products can be very hard to come across. The best places to find Ravenloft products second hand though are on Amazon and eBay. Check out www.amazon.com, www.amazon.ca, www.amazon.co.uk, www.amazon.de, www.amazon.fr and www.amazon.jp for Amazon's complete range of books, CDs, DVDs and products of all kinds of things including rarities like Ravenloft (but good luck with amazon.jp!) eBay's main sites are www.ebay.com and www.ebay.co.uk - check both Amazon and eBay regularly for updates since their stock, especially eBay's, is always changing. The Ravenloft books seem to be facing a new hope now since they have decided to reprint the novels but I personally have taken a great dislike to the new covers. Still, never judge a book by its cover, just cover it up and hope it goes away.

RAVENLOFT AUTHORS:

The Ravenloft authors are also authors of many other works and so they often have websites promoting their publishings. For Strahd authors, check out www.christiegolden.com (author of Vampire of the Mists), and P. N. Elrod's website www.vampwriter.com (author of the I, Strahd books).

OTHER RAVENLOFT SITES:

There are quite a number of Ravenloft sites out there but most are about roleplaying (which is where I take pride in having a different website). The official site is www.kargatane.com but it has pretty much closed down now, with only a few things left. There doesn't seem to be a replacement for the Kargatane planned. One website I would recommend is www.gryphonhill.com - it's got loads of great Ravenloft resources and info. I also think www.fraternityofshadows.com is worth a visit. If you know of any good Ravenloft websites or would like to advertise yours here, just contact me and tell me about it.

Disclaimer

Where possible, I try to use my own artwork so I can avoid conflict with other artists. Sometimes, however, I just can't help but think that someone else's work will far surpass any effort I make. If you find I have used your artwork on my site and can prove it's yours, please just let me know and I'll either remove it or clearly label it as yours, complete with link to your website. If I have used anyone else's artwork, it's because I respect it and think it worthy of the Lord of Barovia. They say immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but if you're not happy, please let me know.

The quotations from Ravenloft novels are clearly labeled with their authors. I don't claim to be able to write as well as any Ravenloft authors and I certainly take no credit for their works. It is recommended that you buy the Ravenloft novels and books so you can enjoy them to the fullest. The quotes I have used are very small sections of the novels I adore - I would never put out more than small excerpts on my website. Please note that I never copy and paste (or equivalent) other people's work from their websites. I'm not a particularly good writer, but I write all my pages in my own words. I have been annoyed when I have been to someone else's website and found one of my own pages (which I spent ages writing) completely copied word for word on this other site without any sign to say that it wasn't their own work. I am as scathing of theft as Strahd and I would never take somebody else's work and try to pass it off as my own.
