
Being an ancient vampire, Strahd has seen and done a lot both in his mortal lifetime and as a vampire. Unfortunately dates sometimes do not agree with one another in the various Ravenloft sources, but I have done my best to compile a reasonable timeline of events.

| Third | 349 | 44 | Strahd has the castle restored. It is named 'Ravenloft' after Strahd's mother, Ravenovia. |
| Eleventh | 349 | 44 | Castle Ravenloft is complete. Strahd turns it into the home of the Von Zaroviches. |
| Fourth | 350 | 45 | Strahd's family arrive and Strahd meets Sergei for the first time. |
| Sixth | 350 | 45 | Sergei takes up the position of Most High Priest, following Kir's death and meets Tatyana. |
